Green Lantern In 3D?

ComicBookMovie.com spoke to Green Lantern director Martin Campbell and asked about the possibility of the film being shot for 3D.

“Maybe. I mean Cameron’s raised the bar on all that, so I think what he’s done with Avatar will make every studio now sit up and look at the box office from 3D and the fact that audiences loved it and it’s such a hit. I think he will…and of course they can do it in post now, you know 3D is so…even though we haven’t really talked about it, I’m sure it’ll come up.”

Reynolds Says Blake Will Be Flawless In Lantern

While there are still other actors remaining to join Martin Campbell’s Green Lantern, Reynolds could only speak to the cast members that are officially on board — specifically Lively, who the eventual defender of Space Sector 2814 described as a perfect fit for the film’s female lead.

“She’s amazing — that girl is nobody’s fool,” Reynolds told MTV News during an interview at the Sundance Film Festival. “She came in and, much like everyone else in the film, had to fight for the role and read [for the character]. She did such an amazing job. She’s going to be flawless, she’s going to be perfect.”

Billy Baldwin Joins the Cast of Gossip Girl

Billy Baldwin is heading to Gossip Girl, but he’s not entirely comfortable with his new role – as Serena van der Woodsen’s dad.

“So you’re gonna go play Blake Lively’s dad on Gossip Girl?'” Alec Baldwin asked his younger brother on the Screen Actors Guild Awards red carpet after taking over the Access Hollywood microphone from Access‘ own Shaun Robinson.

“Ooh, that hurt,” Billy said, referring to his brother’s question. “Three years ago I would have been playing the older man in her life and now, all of a sudden, I’m playing her dad.”

And Alec stuck it to his 36-year-old brother, who was last seen on TV as the politico brother on ABC’s Dirty Sexy Money.

“It seems like yesterday you’d be kissing Blake Lively. Now you’re trying to prevent other men from kissing Blake Lively,” Alec said, turning the knife a little more.

“I would’ve been Blake Lively’s lollipop three years ago,” Billy sighed. “Now I’m Grandpa.”

AskMen 2010 Most Desirable Women

Blake Lively ranked at #85 on the annual Askmen.com’s Top 99 Most Desirable Women. View her entry here.

Why She’s #85
There was a time when pop culture seemed to have had enough of the blond, blue-eyed American girl, but Blake Lively is proof that a beautiful woman can never actually be a cliche. She first caught our attention in 2007, when previews for the show Gossip Girl hit airwaves. While we never imagined ourselves immersed in the trials and tribulations of rich high school kids from the Upper East Side, we’ve found ourselves on numerous occasions — forced by the powers of female persuasion — sitting through episodes of Gossip Girl. Is it embarrassing to admit that we know who Lively’s character Serena van der Woodsen is dating and who her fictional BFF is? Definitely, but at least 2009 ended with Lively hosting Saturday Night Live, and 2010 marks the year that the California native will finally act in something we’re not ashamed to talk about on poker night. Starring opposite Mad Men’s Jon Hamm, Lively hits the big screen this September in the Ben Affleck-directed movie The Town. The movie has everything a guy-movie requires: guns, crime, FBI agents, a cool male lead, and a beautiful woman. Until then, we’ll just have to be content being that amazing boyfriend who, every Monday night, spends a little quality time with his girlfriend watching Gossip Girl.

Sarsgaard In Talks To Play Green Lantern Villain

Green Lantern found his leading lady last week in Gossip Girl Blake Lively, and now it looks like he’s found his foe, too.

Peter Sarsgaard (Boys Don’t Cry) is in talks to play Dr. Hector Hammond in Green Lantern, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The report describes the character as “the pathologist son of a senator who is seen as a disappointment in his father’s eyes. He becomes infused with psychic powers when he discovers a meteor.”

First appearing in a 1961 issue of Green Lantern, Hammond seems to be headed for a similar origin on the big screen as he did in the comics — but how faithful the film will be to the character’s evolution, however, is the real question.

Esquire – February 2010 Article & Outtakes

The most significant consequence of Gossip Girl may be the rise of its lead blond, who’s about to become a serious movie star.

The guest on the late-night talk show crosses her long, bare legs. No one is looking at her. Her segment is done, and she has moved to the second couch, the one that’s hardly ever used. She’s alone. The host, he’s over with the guest who came on after her, the scrawny, aging heavy-metal drummer, and they’re rocking out with the house band, and all the cameras — there are so many cameras at these shows, way more than you’d think — have rolled over to the other side of the stage, and the audience, college kids and tourist couples hopped up on blinking APPLAUSE signs and instructions to be enthusiastic, is watching the host and the aging drummer as they goof around with a guitar. The up-and-coming actress, who has apparently decided to hang out after her interview and watch the rest of the show, sits on that other couch, clapping her hands — stiff palms and splinted fingers, like seal flippers — even though not one person, except for her publicist and her publicist’s subpublicists watching in the wings, is paying her any mind.

Photoshoots From 2009

I’m now back to work on this site and striving to bring it up to date with current Lively status! Tonight I have added some of the missing photoshoots Miss Blake took last year to the gallery. She was on the covers of magazines like Nylon, Marie Claire, Allure, and there are also some unknown images. She looks incredibly stunning in all of these, my favorites being Marie Claire outtakes!
