The Rhythm Section – Production Suspended

Jude Law joined Blake on the set of The Rhythm Section in Dublin, Ireland on Sunday. Blake has also unfortunately injured on the set, with production temporarily suspended.

A spokesperson for the film confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that Lively “sustained an injury to her hand while filming an action sequence” and that “filming has been temporarily suspended” as a result.

“Production will resume as soon as possible,” the statement adds.

A synopsis for the film reads: “A woman seeks revenge against those who orchestrated a plane crash that killed her family.”

Yesterday, Blake was spotted sporting a dramatically different hair color while filming on the Dublin set of her upcoming film, The Rhythm Section.

In the photo, Lively wore an black unbuttoned coat over a pair of dark pants and a dark shirt — an ensemble that matched her black-brown, piecey pixie cut.

And the 30-year-old actress recently proved she doesn’t mind giving her new look a little social media love. On Saturday, she shared a picture of her ‘do — a far cry from the actress’ usual long, blonde locks — on her Instagram account, captioning it with the hashtag: “#TheRhythmSectionMovie.”

In previous photographs taken of the actress on set, Lively was seen sporting an equally short, choppy auburn style with blonde streaks.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Rhythm Section is a modern adaptation of the first of British thriller writer Mark Burnell’s Stephanie Patrick series.

THR reported that the movie is about Patrick — played by Lively — a woman who is forced to uncover the truth about her family’s deaths once she learns that the plane crash that killed them was not an accident. And in order to solve the case, she has to adopt the identity of the assassin responsible for the killings.

The film also stars Jude Law and is set to be released in Feb. 22, 2019, according to Deadline.

Blake Lively plays a deadly assassin in her new espionage film The Rhythm Section, her character Stephanie Patrick loses her family in a plane crash that she later finds out was planned. Before seeking revenge, she turns to drugs and alcohol to cope. Blake proved her dedication to the role on Monday, as she covered up in dishevelled layers and unflattering make-up while filming in Dublin.

We have added some more photos of Blake in Toronto on the set of A Simple Favor yesterday. Also a little news factoid was released today stating that actress Jennifer Lawrence auditioned for Blake’s charater Serena van der Woodsen in Gossip Girl.

The show’s creator Josh Schwartz just revealed in an interview with Vulture that Lawrence actually auditioned for the part back when she was a teenager! “We did not realize this at the time, but Jennifer Lawrence really wanted to play Serena and auditioned,” he told the site. “This story came to us secondhand, but we were told she definitely auditioned and was bummed to not get it.”

On set filming ‘A Simple Favor’

Blake has been photographed shooting scenes for her new movie A Simple Favor in Toronto, Canada.

The film is a thriller about a mommy blogger in a small town who discovers her best friend has vanished.

In some photos Blake wore an orange jumpsuit and was spotted giving her little girl a tour around the movie set as she played with her. In another her face was bruised and bleeding while she was surrounded by police officers.

Blake was seen talking to her director Paul Feig who is best known for his Melissa McCarthy comedies Bridesmaids, Heat and Spy. Also in the film is Anna Kendrick, Sarah Baker, Henry Golding, Glenda Braganza and Joshua Satine.

Filming will take place for the next several weeks in Toronto with additional shooting in Los Angeles. We have added over x100 photos to the gallery…

Women’s March with America Ferrera and Amber Tamblyn

Blake met up with besties Amber Tamblyn and America Ferrera at two Women’s Marches on Saturday, January 21st 2017.

Blake and Amber cmet up in New York City amid huge crowds of protesters marching toward Trump Tower. Tamblyn, who announced her first pregnancy with husband David Cross in October, has been vocal in her disdain for the new president, and even revealed a highly personal story about a past sexual assault via an Instagram post in October. She later explained that she decided to share her horrifying story in response to Trump’s lewd 2005 conversation with former Access Hollywood host Billy Bush.

“That part of my body, which the current Presidential Nominee of the United States Donald Trump recently described as something he’d like to grab a woman by, was bruised from my ex-boyfriend’s violence for at least the next week,” Tamblyn wrote. “I had a hard time wearing jeans. I couldn’t sleep without a pillow between my legs to create space.”
