Gossip Girl’s Blake admits Chanel addiction

I found this article over at FameTastic.

Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively has revealed she’s got a bit of a thing for Chanel products.

She told OK magazine recently: “I love Chanel so much. It’s everything. It’s the epitome of what a lady should be. It’s class.”

“I have the shoes, the jewelry, it’s really a problem. They say it’s an addiction. Some people take drugs; I do stuff with Chanel.”

“The bags are [the biggest] problem. I just got one right before I came here. I just got this big, beautiful, leather clutch that says Chanel on it. It’s black. It’s actually written out Chanel instead of the CC, which you don’t see very often. That was really exciting.”

Blake Lively match isn’t just ‘Gossip’

There sure must be a lot of mistletoe on the set of “Gossip Girl.”

We hear that toothsome twosome Blake Lively and Penn Badgley — whose uptown/downtown relationship keeps the hit show sizzling — have quietly started dating in real life.

“No one is really supposed to know that,” laughs an insider. “I was told by a friend of the family.”

The new tryst has meant Lively disentangling herself from her former boyfriend, and Burbank High School classmate, actor/model Kelly Blatz.

The co-stars were spotted shopping together Dec. 17 at ABC Carpet and Home on Broadway, looking every bit the couple.

Reps for the actors did not comment.

Tries to Avoid the Hollywood ‘Nonsense’

People posted this article at their webpage.

Blake Lively says she’s not much like her Gossip Girl character, the socialite-in-training Serena van der Woodsen, except in one respect – she wants to be a good person amid all the drama of her situation.

“I think that I strive to do the right thing and not fall into the norm [like] so many young people in Hollywood who … get caught up in some of the nonsense,” the 20-year-old actress tells the Associated Press. “I really try to steer clear of that. So, you know, we’re like that in the same way.”

There may be a couple of other similarities, too. “We both giggle a lot. We look alike,” she adds.

Staying grounded is important now that Lively is beginning to get recognized on the streets – and not just by the stereotypical Gossip Girl demographic.

“One day these, like, thuggish guys were, like, coming out, rolling out of their Escalade, and they go – they’re like, ‘Man, that’s Gossip Girl!’ ” Lively says. “And they were, like, freaking out. It was so strange how many people would just get giddy over it. And it’s people that you would not expect at all.”

Some people even know her name, not just the character’s – “[everyone] from young girls, teenage girls, women in their 30s and 40s to, like, Guido-type guys, like frat boys.”

Still, though she’s quite becoming a star, Lively shares one particular passion with seemingly every other young person in America: She’s a “Guitar Hero” fanatic – so much so that the Gossip Girl writers had Serena play the video game on the show.

“The reason they wrote it in was because I’m such an amazing ‘Guitar Hero’ player,” Lively says. “I saw clips of it. It doesn’t really debut my skills so well, which I was very disappointed about.”

Loves her Urban Look

One more article about her fashion style. Credit: CTV.ca

Shooting “Gossip Girl” entirely in New York City has motivated the show’s star, Blake Lively, to step up her fashion game.

“New Yorkers have a sleek, subtle look,” says Lively in a fashion profile with the New York Times. “In L.A., people wear comfy, drawstring yoga clothes in bright colors.”

Lively portrays Serena van der Woodsen, the most beautiful girl in the Upper East Side and gem of the show’s fictional social scene. The upside to playing a character at the center of the world’s fashion capital has also meant that Lively enjoys wearing a wide variety of high-end fashion for the show — even if it means suffering for her art.

“It was March when I did the pilot, and there was snow on the ground,” says Lively.

“I was wearing two pairs of leggings, four sweaters and a big down coat. People here look sharp. You feel like an idiot in Uggs.”

Lively, who moved to Manhattan to shoot “Gossip Girl,” confesses that working on the show has influenced her current look.

“[Serena] does have a strong sense of style, and I like to think mine is a little bit like hers,” says Lively.

The 20-year-old also admits that she also orders clothing directly from the designers she wears on the show.

“Gossip Girl” airs Tuesdays on CTV. Check your local listings for details.

Want a “Ladylike” Sense of Style

I found this online article over at Fametastic, it’s about Blake’s great style.

Gossip Girl star Blake Lively is loving living in New York to film the new hit show – because the extreme weather changes help her to justify lots of new clothes.

She told Lucky magazine recently: “I grew up in California, so winter is this entirely new, exciting thing for me – I’ve already justified buying seven coats!”

She added that working on the fashionable show has also turned her head – but she’s always had a certain older-than-her-years style in mind: “Growing up, I was constantly borrowing clothes from my older sisters, or I’d pick out something from Urban Outfitters and my mom would tailor it to my size — I don’t think I ever dressed like a kid.”

“Now that I’m on Gossip Girl, the wardrobe is so amazing and inspiring, it’s opened a whole new style gateway for me.”

“I’m having so much fun, but I’m trying to keep my head together too, stylewise. There are so many young women out there dressing like young girls; I want to be more ladylike and classic.”

“My style has been totally influenced by Audrey Hepburn and Kate Moss equally – they’re such fashion icons. But Sienna Miller’s young urban style is also totally what I’m going for.”

Blake Gives the Straight Poop on Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt

Just some more gossip and small article about Blake that I found over at National Ledger.

With so much speculation on Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie it is finally good to hear it from someone that will give the straight poop on everything and spread some bathroom humor on Brangelina. And who better than a hot blonde that lives on high definition screens as a professional gossip. Blake Lively is in charge on “Gossip Girl” on the CW. She spoke to “Cosmo Girl” magazine about this insane asylum we call show business.

Us Weekly has some excerpts and notes that Lively reveals what it’s really like to become an overnight star, her celeb crushes, and why the Britneys and the Lindsays of Hollywood deserve a break. Oh c’mon now do they really?

On fame: “It is a crazy and completely insane business. I’ll go to an event wearing some designer gown and tens of thousands of dollars in jewels that were lent to me for the night, and I’ll walk around and meet people who I always thought were such a big deal…Stars really are like anyone else. At the end of the day, Brad Pitt poops — as handsome as he may be–and so does Angelina Jolie. I’m still baffled by how odd this job is.”

On Hollywood’s “bad girls”: “I think some people who bash on the girls in Hollywood who are struggling with addiction or going into rehab aren’t being totally fair; it’s not solely their fault. When you don’t have someone to model yourself after, you’re going to make mistakes. There’s no one there to tell them what’s right or wrong or who is a positive example.”

Blake Lively Says She’s Taking Fame in Stride

People.com has publised som gossip about our Blake. Read it here:

For Blake Lively’s character on Gossip Girl, popularity comes with the territory. For the actress herself, it takes some getting used to.

“It is a crazy and completely insane business,” Lively tells CosmoGIRL! in its November issue about her overnight celebrity. “I’ll go to an event wearing some designer gown and tens of thousands of dollars in jewels that were lent to me for the night, and I’ll walk around and meet people who I always thought were such a big deal.”

Still, the 20-year-old actress, who plays Serena van der Woodsen on the CW teen drama, insists that she isn’t overly starstruck.

“Stars really are like anyone else,” she says. “At the end of the day, Brad Pitt poops – as handsome as he may be – and so does Angelina Jolie. I’m still baffled by how odd this job is.”

As Lively tries to keep everything in perspective, she refuses to condemn other young actresses who have had difficulty in that regard.

“I think some people who bash on the girls in Hollywood who are struggling with addiction or going into rehab aren’t being totally fair; it’s not solely their fault,” she says. “When you don’t have someone to model yourself after, you’re going to make mistakes. There’s no one there to tell them what’s right or wrong or who is a positive example.”

Even as she gets used to the glitz of the business, Lively still remembers the goggle-eyed fan she used to be.

“As a kid, I had a huge crush on Leonardo DiCaprio and, oh my gosh, Justin Timberlake,” she says. “They were the two I can really think of just being completely in love with.”

Admits her overnight celebrity is crazy

TheBosh.com has posted an article with some quotes and stuff Ms. Lively has said.

In CosmoGIRL’s November issue Blake Lively admits her overnight celebrity is crazy, PEOPLE reports.

Blake Lively: “America’s Like a Mom To Me!”

Over at OK! Magazine I found a little article when Blake is talking about America Ferrera.

When Gossip Girls star Blake Lively relocated to NYC to work on her new hit show, the actress got a little help from her Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants co-star America Ferrera.

“She’s a mother to me,” the 20-year-old told OK! at the Viva La Cure event held at NYCs Sea Grill Restaurant on October 17. “When I decided I was going to move to New York for the show, she sat down with me. I knew I wanted to live on the West Side, and she said, ‘No, you need to live on the East Side because of this, this and this.’ She makes lists of pros and cons about why I shouldn’t get another dog. She’s like ‘This is why you shouldn’t get one.’ America’s always very nurturing with me, which I appreciate very much. She’s awesome!”

The two are back on the big screen in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, which hits theaters next summer.

10 Stars to watch this year

I found this little funnt article here, it a little one about Blake 🙂

Blake Lively — Looking a bit like Kate Hudson, Lively brings a refreshing quality to “Gossip Girl,” an eye-opening look at rich kids in New York. Graduating from “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants,” she’s this year’s America Ferrera and a sure-bet for the cover of some of the hottest gossip magazines. Consider her an intelligent Mischa Barton. (“Gossip Girl” airs at 8 p.m. Wednesdays on The CW)
